I just found out I am going to be a Mom (YAY!), and in the last few days, I've been getting some mild cramping in my lower abdomen. My sister, who has two kids, says that it is my uterus stretching making room for the baby, and it should all be normal. Just because I am a first time mommy, and overly cautious, has anyone else felt this during their pregnancy?

yep, I have actually had cramping for my first few weeks, I am 4 1/2 weeks pregnant now. My uterus stretching pain is alot sharper tham mild. but i would say it is normal. If it is accompanied by spotting though i would go see your doctor. I am on my 4th pregnancy, 3rd live birth if all goes well. Good Luck and Congratulations!

I did and i think u are fine. Round ligament pain is common in early pregnancy. I went for a transvaginal scan at 5 and 7 weeks just to put my mind at rest. It did. Im sure u r fine but see doc and ask for scan if ut makes u feel better. Good luck xx

I AM GLAD YOU ASKED THIS QUESTION. I JUST FOUND OUT THAT I AM PREG. TOO. (CONGRATS TO YOU BY THE WAY)
BUT I AM HAVEN THOSE PAINS TOO, MY LOWER BACK IS HURTING( A PULLING PAIN) BUT I HATE TO ASK PPL AROUND ME BC I DONT WANT THEM TO THINK I AM JUST COMPLAING.... I AM TRYEN TO KEEP A JOURNAL OF THIS ALL, MY FEELINGS, AND SO, WHEN I DO GO TO THE DOCTOR, AND ASK ME ILL HAVE MORE FACTS TO SHOW HER, AND SHE MITE TELL ME SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
WELL GOOD LUCK , AND GOD BE WITH YOU AND THE BABY. SAY A PRAYER FOR ALL MOMS TO BE.......

Your sis is probably right. Just to be safe, call your obgyn! They can do an ultrasound-even this early...to make sure baby is okay if they feel it is necessary.
