Hi guys I am looking for some fun party ideas and decorating tips for halloween, if anyone has some sugestions that would make my costume party a big hit, let's here them :o)

Have a Guest Cocktail party. As each person comes in, they take a piece of paper out of a hat. On each paper is an occupation. For the entire night they have to act as if they do that occupation, but they can not say what that occupation is. Then at the end everyone has to guess what everyone else does.
Some good ideas: Funeral Director, Priest, Somo Wrestler, Queen of England, IRS Agent, foot doctor, garbage collector.
Use the help wanted section of the newspaper to get some wacko ideas.

if it's a singles party, make up games that involve people pairing up; like passing an apple under your chin down a line of people.
prizes for best costumes are great.
decorations: go to target and get inexpensive, but fun stuff, like screaming bowls of candy.
don't forget the prize for the worst costume(:
make sure to have a camera; you can use the pictures as an after-party "best and worst dressed".
black & orange. spiders, ghosts, witches.
maybe have face paint available for people to experiment with.

1st of all, u put this in the wrong category.
anyways, make it a requirement for people to wear costumes. then decorate the house with lots of black and orange streamers. put up some pictures of pumpkins, skeletons, witches, and also turn off the lights and have lots of small colorful lights around. then have someone dress up as a ghost or skeleton or something and scare people somehow when they come enter. then have LOTS of food. have like cakes and cookies and stuff. then have games. then take everyone out to trick or treat. now THAT'S my idea of rockin' costume party!!

Okay well a few yrs ago me & a few of my bestfrenz thru a themed halloween party and we had this huge banner hanging that read "Divas of the Dark" and we all dressed in sexy black outfits and witch hats. We didnt require costumes to be worn, but a gift baggie was given to those who did. We had all types of alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks, lots of food & about 5 different party games. Plus we had constant music. It was a hit. Trust me :-)
