There was a Discovery Health show with Dr. Drew about this. One of the studies discussed hormone therapy, and they said testosterone worked to boost the sex drive. The lady on the show took it and her husband couldn't keep up with her "demands"! Check out their website: www.discoveryhealth.com and look for the Dr. Drew page. Good luck!

Eat strawberries, oysters and ... almonds, I believe it was. Some sort of nut in any case.

Aside from that... I'd imagine its largely due to hormonal balance. Your body is probably quite sure its spent.... so its going to be giving you those signals. Its entirely possible that certain hormonal control pills would give you back your sex drive, but then they could make it worse... Its a bit of a gamble...
The attitude aspect of the whole matter could do with some work though. Its entirely possible that being jaded could have put you off sex.... i.e. its become mundane.... and something extra is needed to keep your interest. As for what that is, I wouldn't know. I'm just aware that frequently, the older a woman gets... the more likely she'll turn to some bizarre fetish or other...
So try it.... Experiment with weird stuff... and see what you like... or for that matter what he likes.

Alternatively... you could just give up on sex. Its really not all that essential unless you honestly and earnestly believe it is (and belief makes a lot of difference) .... O'course the downside to that is that you need for -him- to believe the same.

When I was last married the problem was the other way around: I was the one with next to no sex drive and I was married to a nymphomaniac.... O'course I've never had any desire to change that... and curiously enough, despite she and myself being divorced now, she has since become cured of her previous nymphomania.... which I believe is a turn for the better.

There are always alternatives to having sex....
..... like multiplayer gaming! =D ...

Unfortunately no. It figures male scientists would find something that benefits them. Some females have used it, with mixed results, but it's not approved for female use. You might check with your gynecologist & see if your hormone levels are low. There are lots of herbal and other types of products on the market, but not a lot is known re positive outcomes. Good luck

Yes, it's called "Romance" and "Foreplay"...

My wife and I had the same problem after our third child was born. While there may not be any phramaceutical answer to this (although there are some non-FDA approved nostrums out there that don't work), we have discovered that when we take the time to do things right - hence the comment of mine about romance and foreplay - she discovers that she has an urgent need for sex. It may not be as spontaneous as it once was, but it is still as intense when we take the time to get there.

Here are a couple of different sites you might want to look into or get more information about.
I would speak to your doctor before taking any type of medication. He/She may have some alternatives for you.
4 children is enough to kill anyone sex drive.
Look into some relaxation techniques to be more in tune with your body. Yoga or mediation to reduce the stress in your life which could be contributing to your low sex drive.
Also...think about taking a class with your husband. Lots of new and different ways to get "excited" again. Make sure you get enough time for yourself. Make it a priority. It will be good for you as well as the rest of your family.

Sort of, their is an over the counter supplement called lioness that will enhance a woman's sex drive. Also if your testosterone levels are too low, then that will effect your sex drive.

When we women age our testosterone levels will sometimes drop, go to your doctor, they can check that for you and prescribe you supplement testosterone if that is the case.

There is a new "pink" pill for women that is comparable to the "blue" pill for men that is called Avlimil. I believe you can get it at any drug store.
