I am glad to hear you are ok! Sometimes it is just easier to write it down and exit! No confrontation, no tears! Put it in writing and disappear. I will admit it is a very selfish approach. I wouldn't do it now, at this stage in my life, but i did when I was younger.

I sent my husband one before he was my husband. It really was a "Dear John" letter and his name is really John. He wouldn't take no for an answer and that turned out to be a really good thing.

I sent one, in my young and stupid years. I did'nt shatter anyone's dreams. He met and married someone else 6 weeks later. I know they're divorced now. I'm sorry you got one, but I tried telling my b.f face to face, and he did'nt want to know.

Yep - been there and done that.
I was overseas when I got it. I learned to get beyond it - the Marine Corps did a good job at training me to adapt and overcome !
