The most likely culprit is a urinary tract infection (UTI). It happens often in sexually active adults. You must urinate before and especially after having sex to cleanse the urethra. It's not from having "too much sex," although it is a more common problem from having anal sex. You must just be very careful to clean -- inside & out.
Other possibilities are, yes, STDs. There are various kinds, so it's hard to say. A person can have herpes, though, for years and not have symptoms and pass it onto a partner that they've been with a long time. Don't discount STDs altogether just because you've been monogamous for so long.
Go to the doctor! If it's just a UTI, antibiotics will knock it out. If you don't take care of a UTI, it could go into your kidneys and cause serious problems.
Since you wrote "tip," I assume you're a man. So, you should know that prolonged UTIs can cause impotence in men.

It might just be a urinary tract infection. Keep the area clean, drink lots of cranberry juice and get some antibiotics from a doctor. It should clear up in a week.

have a urine test and analysis for bacteria for starters. Take a sample and go to a lab. They will tell you. You probably have infection, but sand in the urine coming from the kidneys is also possible, and other things I don't know. So get checked, because it can be painful and dangerous if not treated.

It sounds like a bladder or urinary tract infection, but to be safe, you really should consult your doctor who is trained to give medical advice.

go to the MD. there are stds women get pass onto men and they didn't have outside sex ..just we have sensitive bodies.
and its likely at least some kind of infection. get treated or you'll just pass it back and forth and ti will wreak havoc on both of your bodies.
use a condom or avoid sex till you both get checked out.
