LOL... oh geez... thanks for the morning funny. That is a hilarious question with some funny answers!
I have to admit... in the '80's I actually danced around to Madonna and had a good time doing it. These days, not really my cuppa tea. BUT... who am I to judge? Not only is she an amazing artist... what a business woman! If I was making the kind of dosh she was making... I would not stop! Yesh... the woman is even making the big bucks writing children's books, she is a go getter... let her go!

After checking the rest of the answers I'm somewhat mind boggled.
Like other people in the business Madonna is still doing their thing and people like Tina Turner and Cher, well Cher do say she was quitting. If you still have your fans and plenty of I'd have to say hey she should stay and continue. But if her fans say hey time to quit your showing your age.She can get a face lift and other things done to improve her looks.
So what's in age if you can do it go for it.Although some stuff she does will have to go.As you said she's pushing it.

I don't think she should retire, I think she needs a new video stylist!! She is a beautiful woman for her age but having to wear leotards in video's is just wrong!! She is still achieving No 1's so why retire??? Her albums are still being bought so I think she should carry on and show all of us youngsters exactly how it is done.

No Way! She is still fantastic. How many artists can you say are still around since the 80's and still going strong?

She adapts constantly to the type of music that is around. Her current album 'Confession on a Dancefloor' is fantastic and her current tour sold out.

So, how can anyone say she is past it and should retire?!

Yes she should retire, give it a rest, her songs are alright but not as good as they used to b...she should concentrate on bringing up that child she just adopted, instead of letting the nanny look after it!! (what is the point of adopting if you're gonna get a nanny!)

no. im not a madonna fan but even if she's old i think she adapts to new styles. and she still has a big following. For as long as there are people who appreciates her and her music... she should keep performing.

i think she's really great and she's a legend but yeah she's pushing it...sooner or later she'll just make a fool of herself trying to fit in with the youth...she should just retire and age gracefully while she still has the dignity to...

I think she should give that baby back to his father (in Africa).

Its totally wrong what she has done there. The father didn't even understand totally what" adoption" meant - he thought she was taking the baby to educate him and then bring him back.

Otherwise I don't care what she does as long as she doesn't do in the street outside my house and scare my cat.

I think Jen nailed it when she said Madonna needs the attention.
