Well you have answered your own question, I think.
A real man must, by definition be 'real' -- that is not phony, not a liar; not a hypocrite.
Men come in all shapes and sizes, all levels of intelligence, all cultures, all religions.
Therefore, what is real for any given man depends somewhat upon the particular man.
However if you are referring to: "What is a real man in a relationship?', you could probably make some generalisations.
A real man would feel a sense of duty to care for his partner. A real man would not deliberately deceive his partner. And a real man would devote his life to helping his partner and family the best way he is able.

not afraid to say he is sorry or "I love you" or Hug even male friends!
Admits his faults, good listner, not prejudice
Loves his parents and respects them
will cry and have a heart!

Intelligent ( emotinal) able to talk about anything, open minded

will take care of his family, wife,children
will protect and provide for his family
will be loved by his siblings and his friends

Not afraid to say "I'm sorry" or "i'm wrong". Good around the house. Great in the bedroom. Good with kids. Smart. Likes the outdoors. Is a great cook. Wears old t-shirts and Levis

A real man is a leader, he is strong and protective. He is smart, well spoken, and confident. He is driven, ambitious and hardworking.
He is never over bearing or cocky because he doesn't need to be. He is not too proud to know that he needs me as much as I need him.

he should be sensitive enough that you arent afraid to cry in front of him
he shouldnt be afraid to show his feelings.
he should be able to listen.
he should be able to pick up after himself.
cooking is a plus.
take showers every day
make enough that you arent supporting him.
be able to carry on a good conversation.
you arent afraid to take him anywhere, some men can make such asses of themselves.
a decent person with morals. that says what he means and means what he says. one that you can trust and not be lied to
