I am turning 29 and getting married next September. Are my best years behind me? Does life just get boring and stale from here out?

I am 38 years old and I was sooooooo depressed when I turned 30. Now approaching 40, and I have chilled a bit. Age is just a number really. It is your state of mind that is important. Keeping things fresh and new is work, effort. Nothing is exciting all the time. Remaining interesting and fun is up to you. There are good days and there are bad. Just roll with it. You only live once and everyday is not a party. Most days are boring, but you appreciate the days that are not even more.

I just hit 29. It's pretty much the same as 27 or 28. Now, 30 is another story...

Life is only as stale as you let it get. Take a trip, do something exciting...

If you are happy about getting married and loving one person for the rest of your life than your future is exciting. Yes, it's "different" because the "unknown" of going out with your friends and who you are going to meet is over. However, coming home to your partner is fulfilling. You are at a time when you may be starting a family or working and traveling with your mate. It's called "growing up" and there are some who want to but some who want to stay single and play forever. Depends on what works for you.

Life will be boring if you let it be. But if you are active, outgoing, and excited about doing stuff and going places, life just gets better and better. You just have to change your priorities and realize that the highlight of your life won't be taking Mary Sue Loudermilk out parking after the high school dance any more. Try the fun of raising a kid or two, buying a house, having a career, taking cub scouts camping for the first time, going to your kid's high school graduation, or having grand kids. It's not boring, trust me.

Good heavens - I see you're getting married next year - is that how you think of marriage? Better not let your fiance know how you feel - or maybe you should. I'm 70 - life has NEVER been boring and stale. You need to get busy and start living.

You have got to be kidding. If life was not worth living after 29, then there would not be any senior citizens. Wake up dude, the best years of your life are ahead of you.

I am 43 and I've had more fun in the past few years than I did in my 20s or even 30s. I have more time, experience, money, and knowledge than I did then. You have to enjoy each moment of your life, but consider it a journey. Never regret, it's only a waste of your emotional energy. You will make lots of mistakes, but learn from them and move on.

No. You have barely begun to live with a matureness in you, so you know what you are doing now, you are not naive anymore(well I don't know you so, you might still be)
My sister said the same thing you did when she was turning 30. She has finally accepted the fact she can't stop years and that they make you a stronger person.

Life is just beginning for you. Life will get boring & stale if you let it. Keep the fire & passion alive.
