I think women would prefer a man be president and be more likely to vote against Hillary. And I think most men would be opposed to a woman president in general which would cost her a lot of votes.

Nope, it is an utter impossibility for her to win, here are the reasons; 1. She is a woman (America not ready yet) 2. she is a northeastern liberal democrat (America will not vote that in) 3. she is a senator(rarely does a senator beat a governor) 4. the conservative base which is larger than the liberal base will mobilize in an unprecedented way to defeat her. Hillary will lose if she runs that is why you will not see her run.

I don't think that Hillary's sex has anything to do with her chances in 2008. The fact is that most Americans, men and women, Republican or Democrat, despise her due to her conduct during her husband's administration. If she had just been honest with the Whitewater investigators, instead of being arrogant and hiding those documents, the investigators would not have had to probe as deep as they did, and the whole Monica Lewinsky thing would probably never have been discovered.

When she decided to run for the Senate, the only chance she had was to carpetbag to the most liberal city in the country, which is the only place that would welcome her. The rest of America is not like New York City, and she will likely realize this if she were to win the Democratic nomination.

Many Democrats do not want her to run, simply because although she is popular in NY, Americans in general do not like her at all, and it would cost the Democrats another presidential election.

The only way she would win is if the Republicans nominate Foley for their candidate. I actually think she's pretty good at her job and might actually make a decent President but she tried to be Mrs. President instead of First Lady and failed, her private life was exposed to the world, her dealing in the past mark her as the usual type of lawyer we all make jokes about, her moving from the south to the north just to gain power because she knew she'd lose in the southern election. All in all she carries way to much baggage to make a credible run for the nomination.

About as much chance as a snowball in hell real men would not vote for that woman and half the women can stand her that is not enough to win, if we had a no nonsense woman to vote for like a Margaret Thatcher or a Golda Meir we could have a woman president but we will have to wait.

I don't think it's about men or women president. I think it's about not liking Hillary. I'd vote for a woman; I would never vote for Hillary.

I don't think this country is ready for a woman president just yet, it will come though. I feel sorry for whoever the next president is. Can you imagine the mess they will inherit from the last administration? WOW !

Yes, I think Clinton has good positions on the war and health care. Her largest hurdle will be her husband. But it is also her greatest asset.
