I did hundreds of these when ford recalled them. Hated every one. put the bottom bolt in the head before you try to put the pump on, there's a slot in the bottom of the pump to let you do this. Make sure the eccentric on the cam shaft is as far away as posible from the pump, hook the pump on the bolt you've already fitted. Then push the pump up towards to cylinder head (you will have to fight against the big spring in the pump to do this) and fit the top bolt. Make sure the rubber gasket hasn't fallen out and tighten the two bolts evenly. Also make sure you refitted the oil drain pipe at the bottom. A bent 10mm helps with this job.

Take the alternator off, then put pump on, then put the alternator back on.
