We 've been apart for quite sometime, but have always remained in touch every now and then. Recently he visited me after a long time and after talking about trivial things he told me he loves me. I was quite taken aback bythat declaration as I thought we were "friends". Every now and then he visits me and I'm afraid that i'll "allow" myself to fall inlove with him again. If he doesn't love me then i don't want that to happen. And i definately don't want us to get involved sexually either! However, the more time we spend together ,the more I want it to, and it's only a matter of time before it does.
Im really confused because I do still feel something for him but how do I know if he really loves me?

By the way, we weren't married to each other. Im 20, his 23, but long after we broke up he married but is divorced already!

Its not healthy to yo-yo back and forth on relationships. There was obviously a reason(s) why the two of broke up to begin with and being apart for a long time makes you forget the bad times. You may be getting along now, but that could be because you're just lonely and wanting to be in a relationship, or you're falling for the inital attraction between you two. Just keep in mind the reasons why you broke up as you re-explore this and take it slow.

Listen, this guy used to be your husband...
If he didn't love you he wouldn't have married you... And certainly wouldn't be hanging around now! You say that you feel it too... So I think you are acting immature... but that what happens to grown folks some time when they don't know how to act on their emotions towards someone... *You act like you afraid of rejection*
Why not invite him to a meal, sit down and talk things out!
I think if he said he loves you, he probably meant it... And maybe you guys really were meant to be.

well hun you are just gonig to have to sit down and talk to him..ask him if when he says he loves you if he is talking aobut the real deal i wanna be with you love or if it is just I love you as a friend and then work everythign out from tehre

you need to find out if he is telling you the truth that he loves you or not! then go from there. if he doess then i would go for it if you really want to
