You might think about trying this book called "The Movie Star Diet" by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn't think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow and an excellent workout to use as well.

Watch the types of foods you are eating and you will lose weight.
Cut back sugar and carbohydrates. Don't eat so much bread, potatoes, cakes, pies, desserts, doughnuts, potato chips, pasta and rice. Drink water, coffee, tea, and stop drinking soda or sugary drinks. Reduce the amount of fruit juice you drink, 4-8 oz a day is fine to get the Vitamin-C you need but you don't need to drink a whole quart of juice, it contains a lot of sugar. Also its OK to use Milk but Milk also contains a lot of sugar. If you get orange juice with Vitamin D and take Vitamins, Milk isn't really necessary for an adult in their diet. Milk really isn't necessary after you are weaned as a baby. Milk has a lot of unnecessary fat and sugar. Desserts with fruit are OK, but too much fruit means too much sugar which can also be bad. For example if you sit all day and each sugary fruits such as banana, guava you can gain weight, you can get all the Vitamin-C you need from one 4- 8 oz glass of juice and fiber can be gotten from daily salad intake, so eating fruit all day is just not necessary. Eat more healthy vegetables and fruit, salad, fish, lean meat beef/chicken. Make sure you don't bread and fry meat. Stay away from casseroles. Stay away from pre-package foods that have a lot of sugar especially high fructose corn syrup. and focus more on natural food and cooking. Change your cooking oil to olive oil from corn oil or vegetable oil. Take vitamins and get some exercise daily, walking is good enough at first, you don't need heavy aerobic or running at first just a 1/2 hour walk and increase up to 1 hour 3-5 days a week. Running real hard at first can damage your knees, ankles and feet if you are not used to it.

Eat a healthy balanced diet, watch your calorie in take and exercise at least 30 min 3 times a week. Plus try to use extra movements when doing normal activities. Take the groceries in the back door, park far out, walk the dog around the block. Next thing you know those pounds will come off.

What worked for me was a combination of exercise & limiting food intake. The important thing is NOT to lose weight, then gain it back, then lose it again etc. etc… It’s better to maintain even if you’re heavier than you want to be than to lose, gain, lose & gain again. This is a sure way to end up a lot heavier than where you started.

Be careful of diets. You do NOT want to reset your metabolism so you need fewer calories. Therefore, I strongly recommend exercise as an important part for your efforts.

Good luck.
