I think a group of high schoolers could come up with funnier material. I keep tuning in because I think it will get better. Now its just a stumping ground for the left disquised as comedy. They have always had political humor, but now its really political instead of satirical. Dan Ackroyd doing Jimmy Carter used to be hilarious. I recall the one where Jimmy got exposed to radiation at 3 mile island and became a giant and decided to hook up with Garrett Morris dressed like a woman.

Worst comedy show on TV. No doubt.

It has, in fact, sucked for quite some time. The likes of Tina Fey ruined this show. Now that she's gone, no one knows how to be funny anymore because they depended on her to tell them they were funny when they really weren't. Fey, Rachel Dratch, Jimmy Fallon, Amy Poehler - the unfunniest people alive. Now that 3/4 of those idiots are gone, the rest of the cast is sort of ambling around waiting to be cute.

Except Darrell Hammond. I LOVE HIM.

The writers and some of the cast. The produces think they're funny. But someone keeps pumping money into it because it's still on. Belushi, Akroyd, Murphy, Radner, Chase. now they were the ones ( I missed a few) who made the show. Every so often they get a decent actor/actress but they're gone on to other things within a year.

And when Dan did the Bass-O-Matic and Laraine Newman, after taking a sip of the fish drink proclaimed "That's great bass", I nearly died with laughter.

Has SNL become a MADTV parody of SNL?

i think its time for SNL to get off the air... ever since jimmy fallon, will ferrel, sherry o terry, molly shannon and eddie murphy left, the show sucks so bad. jimmy fallon held that show together... without him, the show can't keep the audience but eddie murphy doing the little rascals skit was hilarious....

It certainly can suck worse, just wait until the next season with new cast members. Each year sucks slightly more than the last.
