Rats all have their human being personalities, so that they don't all like a similar toys, yet here are some issues a number of my rats have beloved: a million. operating wheel 2. Treats miraculous from the accurate of the cage by technique of a string 3. Puzzles* 4. Cardboard packing boxes- tissue packing boxes, shoe packing boxes, and so on. 5. Mazes *this is relaxing to make puzzles on your rats. you would possibly want to be as innovative as you want with those. An get mutually is to positioned a take care of in a tissue, then stuffing it in a bathroom paper tube. Rats can stay engaged with those toys for an truly lengthy time period, yet they in a number of of situations sparkling up them exceptionally right away. Make the puzzles basic sufficient so the rat received't lose interest attempting to ensure it out.

Rats are very social, so you should think about getting him a playmate. Get a younger rat, as they are more accepting of a new rat when they can boss them around. (lol) Also, giving him some toys to play with is a great way to keep him and you entertained. Also, it can be a great way to bond: try teaching him new tricks and reward him with small amounts of treats.

Rats can become bored and lonely, so I think it is great that you are thinking about this and trying to fix it, before it gets worse.

Good luck and Have Fun!

Firstly rats are social animals and you should have at least 2.

You also might want to see about getting a cage with a wheel, although my males NEVER used the wheel so I moved the girls in the cage with the wheel and they loved it. Male rats are generally lazier. My ratties also loved to play with the cat toys especially the balls with the bells in them!!

Otherwise I would just spend time with him and teach him some tricks. ALL my ratties will come when called.

For ideas on tricks visit this website:

My ratties had the run of the house since they are such extremely CLEAN (yes, I said CLEAN animals to all you people that think rats are dirty animals) and would never go potty outside of their cage.

When they had the run of the house they would actually snuggle up with my cats (for you jerks who said for him to get a cat).

Good luck and have fun!

You can teach him some new tricks every once in a while. Rats can learn a lot of different things. This will stimulate his mind and give you both something to do.

Why don't you rent some Mickey Mouse cartoons for him.

Better yet, rent the movie "Ben" which was about a rat.

My suggestion would be to get him a lot of new toys and change them up every 2 days to keep it "fresh".

Get a cat. It'll definitely make life more interesting for your rat.
