Paparazzi are scum and deserve a good slap

It is not that the celebrities are unstable; it is that photographers and stalkers have made them irrational. Celebrities are everyday people who have had their talent discovered and promoted. Now, everyone knows who they are. Some (not all) photographers (and those who pay them) have crossed the line. Why do you think that so many are buying large homes with lots of land or even overseas. It is because they have the money, but also to keep people from taking pictures. Yes, photographers have to make money too, but so many have no ethics. Tabloids will spend upwards of six figures to get private pictures, and certain Americans are so hungry for any information they will buy these magazines. If we didn't buy it, there would not be the demand for it. It is simply supply and demand. Fans want to know them, and are dying to get to know as much as can about them. The bottom lines are that pictures sell media. Each one is scrambling to get that one photograph that no one else has; and even if that means that they invade their privacy, photographers and media outlets don't care. Whether you are wealthy or not, we all have our right to privacy. I am not saying that the violence is right, but I do understand. Photographers should not make rude statements, and try all types of outlandish behavior in order to have the only picture of _________ doing _________.

How do you stop photographers from being in their faces 24 hours a day? On the other hand fame and fortune has it's price. I realize that to get a picture, photographers have to be aggressive and I also believe anybody in the public eyes must live with the fact that, like it or not they chose to be what they are, so, the crying and bickering about privacy doesn't affect my sense of propriety. If the..stars don't want to be photographed, get a different job, plain and simple.
People don't get your hackles up. I do not agree with hounding ...stars in the privacy of their home or without their consent, but out on the street, they are fair game.

Stop invading their privacy and have the photographers take photos of them *only* when they're actually working, and not when they're trying to spend a quiet afternoon out with the kids/shopping for groceries/visiting the doctor's office for a checkup.

Then maybe you'll find Pop Stars a little more considerate towards the paparazzi and a LOT less violent.

Some photographers are legit, however there is a new name for the ones who stalk and provoke stars so they may be shown in a bad light. Stallkerazzi ....and these people are relentless. They try to photograph stars in compromising situations so they can make up a bad story about the star and show a bad picture. It's sick and twisted and they need to protect them from this sick abuse..... great question. Although not in a court of law, I do hold them indirectly responsible for the death of Princess Diana. There is a time and a place for a picture to be taken, and not at the expense of their freedom.

Using a high tech view finder, picture from afar.
I must however objectively state that everyone including your self has an edge.Anyone can crack under intense pressure.
Its nothing personal between the celebs and the photographers.
Neither does it imply that the celeb is unstable. The photographer just happened to have been at the right place(cos he's got to work) at the wrong time(cos the celebs hormones is at that time overworking).

taking photos for the public to see is okay. but only when they're actually WORKING or at a premiere or something. i think the problem is that the paparazzi havea reputation for forcing private pictures out of poptarts (oops i mean pop stars). how would you feel if a couple of hundred photographers with big cameras looked into your window and took photos of you changing, playing with your kids, sleeping on the floor... etc???? if the paparazzi stopped taking these kinds of pictures--pictures that put down/insult pop stars, then they will get a lot less violent.
i mean, i know you guys hav to make a living, but wht about the lives of po stars? they're well-off, i know, but they're still humans! they get angry once in a while.
hope this helps!

The papparazzi have a pretty bad reputation the world over.
If a photographer knows a popstar is unstable I'd suggest he not try to photograph them. Take ten steps back and use a big zoom lens.

how about the photographers have some kind of decency, yea celebrities do know that lots of publicity comes with the territory of being famous, but these paparazzi's are down right grimey, they would probably photograph their mothers death if it would sell. They have to learn that some things are private, not everything is meant to be seen. I actually love when celebrities get in their faces they deserve it.

I think the 'stars' are well out of line, they, in the main, chose to get into that line of work and therefore were well aware of the pitfalls/intrusions which come with it. Don't we all prefer the nice 'stars' who just give a little wave and smile and get on with it? Bigger stars just have people permanantly camping outside their homes, they just live with it.
I guess the only answer is to sue their butts every time they even raise a fist.....

if the celebs want their privacy, they shouldn't be celebs.

there is no law against the paparazzi doing what they do. if celebs don't like it, they should have a law passed. but they probably DO like it. getting attention from the paparazzi guarantees them MORE FAME AND MORE MONEY!!! many celebs now aren't staying famous because of their "work," but because of the tabloids. it's pathetic when they pretend not to like the paparazzi when really, they love and depend on them. sometimes they even buy them beers and pizza.

i'd hate the paparazzi stalking me, but hey, i never traded my privacy for money & fame like these celebs do every single day. to them, it's a GOOD trade. look at them - they're the happiest people in america!!!
