I would do the following:
1- Pay off my house, car, and any other outstanding debts
2- Put a chunk way for retirement, and if you have children, their college costs
3- Take a trip you always wanted to take
4 - Potentially buy a small second home in the mountains (for skiing if that is what you like) or at the beach

Assuming you have money left over after doing the above I would work with a financial advisor to figure out the best way to invest it. At the end of the day I don't think it would make sense to stop working. Maybe what this does do is give you the opportunity to leave your job if you are unhappy and find something else you really like. Or maybe work part time. But if you are not raising small children I think work is a necessity and the best route to mental stability if not finanical stablithy.

Good luck.

Is this before or after Bill Clinton implemented the Death Tax???

If after and I netted the full $1M: I would put it into a high interest savings account or invest it and live off of the interest. Heck no I wouldn't work again, because I would have invested it properly!

I would pay off all my debt
Get a boob job
move
give money to my family
live life to the fullest
I probably would keep my job because I love my job and I love the people I work for.

i'd continue working... $1million is no longer that much money in today's society. i'd repay me debts - credit cards, loans, etc. and invest the rest and build a bigger nest egg. i'd probably take about $100,000 and send my mom on a trip all over europe for 2 months and go shopping for myself (as a treat)
