Do you have a cell phone?
Do you have a Wireless PCIMCI card installed in your laptop?
Do you have a PCMCIA card installed in your laptop?
Do you have a car adapter to recharge it while driving?
Do you have access to either WiFi networks or networks where you can plug in your laptop?

Most of these are what you need if you are going to use your laptop from home. Wireless or Wired? Makes a difference! Check with your cell phone carrier, your ISP, your laptop mfg, as to exactly what you need. You may already have all the equipment, just need the connection.
