Its my brothers birthday soon and were going into town in fancy dress - Anyone got any good ideas? (please don't just say nurse!) I still want to feel sexy and feminine though - thanks!

if you want attention go as princess leia. two choices, the white ministerial dress with current bun hairstyle, or push the envelope and get the gold bikini (ala friends..... Rachel. mmmmm).
most guys will know who you are and you will get lots of attention

As a designer, I would say a simple (no "bling") long black dress. Depending on your figure, you may want to go for an a-line style as opposed to a straight-line style. If you have wider hips, I would suggest an a-line. If you have a thin and lithe figure, I would suggest a straight-line.
Dark, solid colors are appropriate for the season. If it's your brother's birthday, the less accessories, the better. One necklace, and one pair of stud earrings. Compliment that with a small handpurse.

I would go as a cave girl, in very short suede skirt with a little suede boob tube up top, wrap a piece of suede fabric around some comfy flat shoes so that it looks like the suede is wrapped around your feet, and you don't even have to style your hair, I would just shake my hair about just before you go in or don't comb your hair at all. Light brown suede or tan colour would be ideal, you can get fake suede from Jessops, it looks like the real stuff too.
