Sneaker Squeaking?

Why do my sneakers squeak? I just bought them (Nike SBs) and had used them on a rainy day. The sneakers squeak as they flex when I walk. It's not that the soles squeak on a floor.

take out the sole, put baby powder in, and let it sit for a few days.
