How can I get back in touch with an old friend?

Question

I'm trying to find some I was friends with back in secondary school and sixth form college because it's her birthday tomorrow and I'd like to wish her many happy returns.
A quick google of her name, in the hope that it might bring up something like a myspace page, gave me hundreds of irrelevant results because it's not exactly a rare name. In addition to that, she often interchanged two surnames as her parents had split up and got remarried, so she used either her mum's remarried name, her dad's name, or the two hyphenated together. Plus she got married, I know her married name but heard on the grapevine that they had split up, so I don't know if she still uses her married name or one/both of her previous ones.
I have no idea where she is - our original hometown, her dad's hometown, her husband's, or she could have gone to uni and ended up anywhere!
What's a good site for finding people? I just want basic info like an e-mail address or landline number?

That's a tough one.

I'd try where you did know her, perhaps you can find other people that knew you both, they might lead you to her?

Or some sort of her relatives other than mother or father?

Or class reunion stuff like that!

call this person up and invite the person to a cafe' for coffe or something? that will really be a suprise.mabye u can get her/him a gift.
