Pull up on the skin between your thumb and first finger. It should snap right back. If it is slow, you probably are dehydrated. Also, check your urine....if it's clear to light yellow, you are fine, if it's dark yellow, you need water. Drink 8 glasses of h20 daily and you will be fine.

Why do you need to know?

Just go drink some water and you won't be, regardless of whether you were in the first place or not.

Besides.... if you leave it long enough you'll know about it. I tried to commit suicide by dehydration once (I was too lazy to manage 'active' suicide, so I tried 'passive' suicide)... and it was the most uncomfortable experience of my life. Just two days of not eating or drinking anything left me feeling sick, dizzy, horribly.... well... dry.... incapable of sleeping... generally weak....
Well... I think you get the point.

headaches, bodyaches, very dry skin and mouth, dizziness, heart palpitations, etc.... If you feel dehydrated, drink slowly to rehydrate yourself. If you drink too much too quickly you can get nauseated and vomit, furthering your dehydration.
