No it's not wrong to want one gender or the other, I think for the most part we all want a boy or a girl at some point. My husband and I have three daughters, we prayed for a boy. I believe as long as you understand that He will give you what He feels you need at this point then it's okay. Don't fret, it's okay to ask.

its a good thing to pray to god. Asking for a specific gender, there is nothing wrong with that. but also remember in your prayers that you want a healthy baby, and you will love that baby no matter the sex.. remember to pray for the mom to be also. God will listen to your prayers, but he doesn't always answer them the way you'd like. he has a purpose. and if you want a girl and get a boy, maybe that's because he might be the next president. or if you want a boy and get a girl, she may one day have a child that will cure cancer. Just remember when your child is born you will love it no matter what the sex. It won't even matter then. God Bless And Good Luck......

Im 16 weeks pregnant and I have 4 long weeks untill I find out what the sex of my baby is. I want a little girl but my husband wants a boy. I dont think it is wrong to ask God for a specific gender, I hope its not wrong b/c I do it every day. But in turn God is going to give you what he thinks you should have. Ive just came to terms, boy or girl? Im just blessed to be having a baby and I just want it to be healthy. Wither it a boy or girl!!!

I do think it is okay to ask God for a specific gender, but don't get mad if you don't get what you want, you will love it the same either way. I think God has a plan for all of us and whether we know it or not he gives us what we need at that time. I would just pray mainly for a healthy child.

If you really want one gender more than the other, it'll be on your mind. You can't hide your thoughts from God, so God will know anyway what you want. First, ask for a healthy baby, and then ask for a child of a gender you want.

It is always ok to ask God
but he will still give you what is best for you
instead of worried about the gender ask for
the baby health then he might also give you what your heart desire

I don't think it's wrong at all to pray on specific gender. At least your asking him and not taking matters into your own hands, you know.

Why is gender selection wrong? If you believe in an all powerful god then if he doesn't want it to work than it won't anyway.

It's always good to pray to God for help. That's what he's there for but you should also pray to him for other things such as praise, thanking him, and pray for others.
As for other people who are trying to get pregnant and can't--that's really unfortunate but it is not your fault. It's not your fault that you can get pregnant--nor is it your fault you want a certain gender. Best of luck!

if you want specific gender child u can pray to god to fulfill your wish. anything beyond praying, like manipulating artificially will be against HIS will. n u are lucky to have a child, gender actually doesnt matter.
