If I plug my iPod into another computer (with iTunes installed), will it sync the data? or charge the battery?

I just need to charge the battery, and don't want to change the data on either my iPod or my friend's iTunes. Can I still charge the battery without syncing?

If you plug this into another laptop you usually have to allow it to sync, just cancel this action and it will continue to charge

If it syncs your data, it will sync with the library on the new machine. If the tunes are not the same, you will lose all the songs on your ipod.
