Don't get shot.

Don't make the mistake of running out more than needed, shoot from cover. It's like holding up a sign saying "easy target".

The place may sell paint, flash and smoke grenades, which can be useful or fun. Some do, some don't.

As people have said, lots of layers. Keep any and all safety equipment on. Try avoid being shot.

Try to work with your teammates, rather than all working seperately. Lay down cover fire for each other to move and such. If one person is peeking out behind cover, shoot at him so he'll hide while your teammate runs for the objective. Etc. Saying that, recognise a stupid plan when you hear one and say so.

Yeah, don't get hit - it hurts!!!

Also, do as you are told by the instructors and keep your mask on until they say it's safe to remove it. When we went there were a couple of guys who took theirs off before it was deemed safe to do so and the instructors decided to make examples of them by giving them 10 seconds to run away from the rest of us all lined up to shoot them on the back - that HAD TO HURT BIG TIME!!! (one of them tripped up when he ran too meaning he got the brunt of the shooting!)

Keep your goggles on, those paintballs sting, you wouldn't want one in the eye. Shoot around your friends groin areas. Those strange bruises are tough to explain away. They look like polo mints.

make sure you wear loads of layers to cushion the pain ball hits. If the balls don't explode they really hurt
(never take of your goggles - we all remember PJ in Biker Grove)
