looking to a person when your talkin or giving a presentation

because it lets the person know that you are talking to them and pretty much will drive home what you are saying...if its not important enough for you to make eye contact and hold their attention then why should they listen...it is also a sign of respect...you should make eye contact anytime you speak to anyone

It gives an impression that you mean what you say, that you are not hiding anything, and that you acknowledge their presence and let them know that you are also there...
