The New England Library paperback edition of Children of Dune I'm reading, from 1992, has so many. Is it Tyekanik (p 44, 2nd line from bottom), Tyehanik ( p 46, line 5; p 47, line 20), or Tyebanik (p 86, line 10)? If you worked on this type-setting project, give me a Hollar!

Also, how much did they pay Ann Rice's editor? The vampire trilogy was atrocious! I'd not call it English. Maybe a simplified version?

Just before you all crucify me, I can suspend my discomfort and enjoy. Both authors have created great stories, especially Frank Herbert. Wasn't he a great author?!

I just hope his son's taking great pains not to mess up the final Dune manuscript before it's collated, polished, and published. I'd like to see it soon, so if you know anything, drop a line......

So if you've experienced this type of typo anxiety, let me know what happened!!!!

It drives me nuts if I receive emails that were sent without spell check.
Even worse is if I have to proof read a presentation. I can't concentrate on the content before I have corrected all the grammar errors and typos..
Luckily they have a 'Check Spelling' button here.
If only people would use it more often when answering..

For me it shows that everyone is human and makes mistakes. I know that I often have to have someone else proof my typing when it is for something major because I do make mistakes also.

Nah, I feel I'm pretty safe reading literature only, and sticking to reasonable publishers - i.e. British ones. :P

What I can't stand is to read a book full of poor grammar.

Yes I do. I read to read not to try and figure out what they are saying and in what language.
