Everytime I cough this morning I get this really foul "taste". I had bronchitis a couple of weeks ago and am still recovering, could I still have some sort of infection that I am coughing up? How does this happen and how can I make it go away?

avoid all dairy till fully better makes more mucus.
eat spicy hot foods lots of citrus. clear out them sinuses.
hot lemonade slice lemon put in two cups water in non aluminum pot simmer a few minutes not boil. add sugar or honey. drink three times per day or hot teas.

all the old stuff still has to come out. and you may have sinus drip.
maybe also get an expectorant type cough syrup and antihistamine .ask the pharmacist.

did you take all the antibiotics? on time?
if not you may need a return trip to the MD.
OR if it doesn't leave also go back.

feel better!

Usually the bad taste is caused by a sinus infection, or sinusitis. I have it real bad and they put me on Hycotuss Syrup (RX) and it went away. But I get it recurring every few months down here in FL because of my allergies. There is no way to make it go away without the use of medications although normally, it does get better on its own. I would talk to your Dr and see what he recomends.

If you have a lung infection, are coughing that up and are tasting it you need to see that doctor. You probably need continuied treatment since it doesn't appear that you cleared the infection yet.

Just take pills, i would think mixing it with milk would make it nastier. Try mixing it with soda or something, it wont kill you unless you OD. Get some Triple Cs or Mucinex or something.

You probably have a sinus infection. The infected mucus travels into your chest. When you cough it up, it's nasty.

See your doctor. If it is, antibiotics will clear it up.

It could be Acid Reflux. You should talk to your doctor about this. Or try taking an over the counter medicine like Pepcid.
