Hypocrisy is the cornerstone of the liberal mantra.

Like what? If you're talking about things like being mean to their opposition and such, well, there're always idiots on every side. Conservatives do seem to take it to such an extreme, though. Okay, look at this: liberals are called on constantly to denounce Michael Moore as a raving nut. Yes, Moore does have a bias in his movies, but he doesn't pretend not to, he doesn't actually _lie_, and he's never suggested murdering someone to shut them up. On the conservative side, we've got Ann Coulter, as one example. Somehow, there's never the outrage about her and you guys just let her do her thing, as she says that we should murder US citizens and Supreme Court justices. Somehow, her homicidal rantings are "funny", while Michael Moore's presentation of facts (Fahrenheit 9/11 has not yet been disproven by anyone reliable) is terrible, just terrible.

And then there are the scandals. Clinton's administration was gone over with a fine tooth comb. There were either no indictments or very few, I can't remember. Bush's administration has had zero Congressional oversight, which is itself bizzare, especially in a time of war, yet scandals and indictments are just constantly coming out.

And then there are the policies and actual governing. Okay, Clinton was no liberal, but he was moderate to moderate-left. He gave us eight years of peace and prosperity. Liberals have also given us social security, which is the most succesful and popular social program ever, public education, and the Civil Rights Movement. Conservatives have now led over two economically stagnant, at best, decades, marked by record national debts. JFK got us through the Cuban Missile Crisis, and Clinton kept a cap on North Korea and Iraq and nearly brokered peace in the Middle East. Bush destroyed our standing in the world and created a whole new generation of terrorist with his failed Iraqi occupation, and North Korea got nukes under his watch. Oh, yeah, and he let 9-11 happen, even with ample warnings and the suggestion from Clinton's administration that, you know, it'd be a really good idea to keep a watch on that bin Laden guy. Yet conservatives constantly blast liberals for their failed policies and won't listen when we point out, time and again, the instances where our policies worked and yours didn't.

And finally, there's the suppression of votes. By far the majority of the suppression came on the side of the Reps. Minority districts didn't have nearly enough voting machines, while white middle class suburbs had more than enough. Reps were caught out constantly shredding Dem voter registrations, and they were caught, last time and this, telling various poor and minority groups that they could get jail time if they tried to vote. So, yeah, while there might be an asshole Dem or two, Reps really went all out with the suppression thing. See, Dems as a party have no reason to suppress votes- most people are Dems, so they are only helped out by major voter turnout, even if that includes Reps, too. Liberals, as part of their very belief system, think that everyone, no matter what, deserve a voice in their government. Conservatives are much more lock-step in their beliefs, which has helped them in the past, but doesn't leave much room for dissent.

Liberals and conservatives are both wrong in their beliefs, because they both support capitalism, which creates dissparity of wealth, poverty, greed, selfishness, crime, war, etc. Socialism, which has no real support in the US, would solve most if not all these problems. Why not implement it? Because people are just far too greedy and selfish, and above all more interested in holding onto their power then to do what the people really, deep down, desire.

There is an old saying which goes something like, “Perhaps you protest too much…” Its real meaning in that the accuser is often the one guilty of the crime they are accusing others of.

Cons are also often guilty of the things they accuse libs of as well. Hypocrisy runs both ways. Conservatives just don't seem to have the character to admit it.

Luke 6:42 - NIV
How can you say to your brother, 'Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,' when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.

Because many have tunnel vision and only see the bad that their opponants do, not the bad that they do.

Because they're hypocrates who rely on the stupidity and ignorance of their followers to blindly follow them down the same decrepid path. Despite what my friend says here, disparity of wealth is not bad. Those who don't want to work have nothing. Those who work have........ duh!!!!

Silly question. This question can't be properly answered unless you are more specific about what these transgressions are.
