I can only speak for the Brazilians and I say WE LOVE ITALY!!!
Of course we don't love Italians a lot during World Cups and all but, still, when soccer is not involved, great country, great people, fantastic food. What's not to like about Italia?!

To Italy I say (in my poor Italian): Te voglio tanto bene il mio tesoro!

Italy is a wonderful country. Milan like most major city is not as friendly as some of the small towns. My best friends of 30 years are Italian and I could not have had better ones.

I am not English but I am American.

I am fancinated by the history of Italy. Specifically ancient Rome.

I love Italian food. While I am not of Italian decent I do have Italian relatives by marriage.

My dream vacation some day would to tour all of Italy and visit all the ancient sites and wonders it offers.

Buona fortuna!

I think Italy is ....well, 'very Italian.'

My only experience of being in Italy has been of Florence and that region where we met family and friends of a girl who had been a student here in England and had stayed with us.

We were treated warmly and accepted as 'Amico' and they were lovely to us.

Italians are much like everyone else as national groups and as individuals. There are warm, pleasant people, there are those who are not so warm and not so helpful or 'irritated' people.

My experience has been very good ~ and I will add, that I never felt in any way in any kind of danger there either.

Sash.

I can't tell you what most English people think about Italy, but I think, good food, red wine, great opera, very catholic, the mafia, the pope, ferrari cars, ancient buildings to see in Rome, beautiful artwork to see in Florence, romantic gondolas to ride in Venice. I used to work with an Italian guy and he was really nice, always really helpful. What do Italians think of the English?

Whenever I think of Italy I think of food. I love Italian food! I also think of their football team. I don't have anything against Italian people, but I like the accent.

My family just spent 17 days in Italy. I said it was the most beautiful place I'd ever seen. We were in the south near Sorento (Massa Lubrense); Gorgeous. People were friendly, kind, and helpful.
We stayed in a farmhouse near Piegaro (South of Cortona) The countryside is so beautiful.
We loved Rome, Sorento, Capri, Positanno, Cortona, and the many small villages we visited. We miss it and hope to go again some day

It relies upon on the place you intend to flow. in case you reside on the factor of tourist routes then the share could nicely be very severe (enable's prudentially estimate around seventy 5/80% that are waiting to speak and understand some English, notwithstanding if no longer fluently). I disagree a prior answer on condition that from an ecu statistic are the adult males who's conscious of languages greater desirable than women. issues dramatically differences in case you flow out from the tourist factors to shuttle the hided nation-state (much greater once you're in the southern areas) and to be quite optimist you will locate basically a 10/15% of talking English people. notwithstanding in case you talk some Italian, notwithstanding if no longer one hundred% wonderful, anybody will attempt to understand you and make you comprehend them. do no longer forget approximately that besides the language we've one greater thank you to speak. have you ever seen an Italian talking with out shifting his palms ??this might help lots too!! rejoice with year next holiday to Italy and don't hardship too lots approximately language.

I've only been to Italy once and that was on a day trip from Austria. The country we saw was beautiful, the food very tasty and the people friendly.

Thank you.
