Someone is communicating with you electronically. It could be a friend (good email) or a company who got your email address and is trying to sell you something (a spam email - not so good.) The email might contain an attachment like a photo from a friend's vacation (a good attachment.) Or it might have an attachment from someone you don't know (bad - it could contain a virus that will hurt your computer if you open the attachment to view it.)

Sending you something .. a letter, note, photo, or anything else through an email account. Email accounts are mostly free .. you just need to sign up. Im sure you have yahoo email since you signed up for yahoo answers =)

It means the other person has your email address. It does not mean anything more. Please don't try to read more into it than there is. The person may be email everyone they know.

it simply means that they sent whatever it is through an email account as oppose to sending Through post - office or FEDERAL EXPRESS, DHL,UPS, etc,

it means that it is sent electronically as oppose to hardcopy which is mailing it through postal
