im a steeler fan and again they lost. It sickens me that when the offense starts to click the defense lacks and when ofense lacks defense steps it up. Then the turn overs what is going on where is the urgency the steelers once had?

"Some sound advice.....Become a Colts fan...They win alot. Plus, the Pittsbutt Squealers suck. "

WOW...great advice. Root for a team that wins all season long and then chokes, chokes, chokes when it comes time to win a championship. Yeah, thats the team to root for. Kind of like running a 10k race and collapsing at the 9.8 mile line every time!!!

Hahaha.....stupid Colts fans!!!! Manning will never win a ring. DO YOU HEAR ME NOW?

Steelers are on a downtick. 3 turnovers for easy points. Big Ben playing hurt still. Atlanta starting field position within 40 yards of end zone.

Don't tell us to be a fan for a team that will always find a way to lose in January. No thank you!

The Steelers lost a lot in the off-season. Bettis & Randle El for a couple. Then there have been the injuries. Those little knicks and dings can add up. And then there is the QB. As it turns out, he's not really that good. Never was.

But, don't worry. The Steelers are like Jason Forhes or Freddie Kruger. Just when you think they're dead, they pop up and kill someone. I'm sure they'll be there at the end of the season, scratching and clawing for a play-off spot.

First things first.......I blame the loses on Cowher. Ben isnt that good of a quarterback to only play the first series of each pre-season game. Look at all the other good QB's, they pretty much played the whole 1st quarter of each pre-season game.

Second.......If ben isnt 100%, he needs to say "Hey coach, I'm not up to the challenge today, lets give Batch a go at it". But NOOOOOOOOO....he wants to be the hero.

Third......Get rid of Holmes......his criminal record is more impressive than his stats this year.

Fourth......the offensive line isnt opening any holes for Parker (or any back for that matter).

Fifth......They need to throw to Heath Miller at LEAST 10-15 times a game. He catches the ball, runs with the ball and runs people over.

Also....I think the Bus was a one of the greatest running backs to play the game BUT he only played in MOSTLY short yardage situations (last year)....it was his attitude and emotion for the game that made his playing awesome.

I think the BIGGEST problem with the Steelers is:......They dominate the first half of the game, then the opposing team makes changes at halftime but Pittsburgh doesnt. I understand "If its not broke, dont fix it" motto, BUT you HAVE to make adjustments at halftime.

Dont get me wrong, I'm from Pittsburgh and have been a fan of the Steelers for 25+ years. They just need to fix the turnovers and get the hype out of their systems from last year and focus on the games coming up so they can turn the season around.

At least the Penguins are doing good this season!!

I think that the Steelers were not as good of a team last year as they appeared. They just got hot at the right time. Ben & Troy have both been injured and are not playing at full strength. The other players are not stepping up.

They are also playing a Super Bowl Champion's schedule. The way scheduling works in the NFL, you play a tougher schedule if you win the previous year.

hey nonsense, that's a good name, did you watch the game yesterday? Ben had a passer rating of 147.3 and completed 16 of 22 throws, 3 of which resulted in td's and none of which were intercepted, santonio holmes may have had a fumble, but he's a rookie, just wait, he will prove himself, and is getting better every game.....as far as what's going on with the steelers, simple it is the turnovers, the steelers have the potential to be the best team in the league but make simple mistakes that cost them, they'll watch tape, and improve, and one last point, they won the superbowl last year, they don't have to win every year, that's what seperates the bandwagon fans from the true fans, we support our team even when they aren't winning

well see the problem is is that they are lacking leadership. Bus wasnt a key player last year, but he was a leader. Big Ben is a great guy, but not a leader of a team of stars. Joey Porter and Trop P. are tough defensive players, two of the best, and they can lead, but you cant expect them to dominate week in and week out on their own. They will be fine, not make the playoffs, but also not embarass themselves either. Sanantonio Holmes will be a perinial pro-bowler soon enough.

I feel you. They're playing pretty sloppy right now. I think the team has the potential to do well this year but they're are not playing as a unit right now. I think they need to get into a good rhythm. Turnovers are not acceptable. They are still not out of it for the season, I think that if they can get back into rhythm and realize that rushing game is not the same without Bettis and stop playing that way I feel that they will be playoff contenders. Ben also needs to get his head into the game.

You guy are being tough on them. Be nice, please. It's really got to be difficult to be grabbed on by all those sweaty, brutish men, wanting, no longing, to pull their straining muscles to the ground, all in a testosterone-charged pile of writhing bodies. OMG, they get paid for that too? I know about 500 guys who would do that for free!

Let's not worry yet...

Yes, they are inconsistent right now, but when they are hitting on all cylinders, they are the best team in the NFL
