4100

Trick question most people say 5000

2006-10-23 02:35:08 · answer #1 · answered by Sir Sidney Snot 6 · 3 0

This is a very tricky question of which many people are fooled. The answer is actually 4100.
1000 + 40 = 1040
1040 + 1000 = 2040
2040 + 30 = 2070
2070 + 1000 = 3070
3070 + 20 = 3090
3090 + 1000 = 4090
Now the trick comes in...
4090 + 10 = 4100, not 5000

If the answer is 5000, another 900 should be added. But that was not stated in the question.

Very good one. The answer is 4100 because after the 4 1000s, there is another 100. :) I like this one.
