Go to yahoo messenger/messenger/ reverence/ appearance and it will say nick name/first & last name or yahoo id .Click the one you want hit apply /ok

Go to the Messenger> My contact Details and look where it says messenger ID... change that to your screen name, also you can erase your name out of the personal info...
