I think heaven/hell is in a different dimension

There is no hell. If you look at the original hebrew and greek texts of the Bible and translate the words used such as Hades, you find that it just means a grave. The other term Gehenna was used as a term to mean eternal destuction with no hope of coming back, and was named after the Valley of Gahenna that jeruselum used as the city dump.

To find out if you are trapped in the earth or not, you have to go to Hell in the first place. However The hell in not on or in this earth. It is out there in the heavens. God have hidden the heavens and hell from humans eyes. the inner core is hot and the fire of hell will be hoter than that.

Just think of the congestion of souls in the center of the planet. Does their writhing in pain account for the movement of the tectonic plates? Do their screams of agony cause volcanic eruptions? What do religionists say about that?

Actually not every religion believes that. Some believe that the afterlife is on 3 different levels. Celestial (heaven), terrestrial (in-between) and telestial ( suffering). Those all sound to me like they are not on the earth.

No. Science does not accept the notion of "hell". There is no scientific proof that such a region exists, and there is no way to prove its existence if there were. Science does not deal with notions that cannot be verified, it leaves them to philosophers, theologians and day-dreamers.

Heaven and Hell are for souls. They are spiritual, not physical places.
