We have just moved home and have found that our orange mobiles have little or no reception in our new house (in Surbiton, surrey so hardly in the sticks!). Orange have fantastic coverage in our area according to the map on their site. Any ideas?

As i said, on Orange's map the coverage is coming up fine - just really annoying!

Check Orange's coverage map from
http://coverage.orange.co.uk/business/corporate/uk/UKCoverageSearch.htm
If your coverage (on the map) is already not strong, then you know why.
Otherwise, it must be the way (lots of concrete and steel) your house is built, and how the neighbourhood is built-up. Try to go to some windows (different directions) whether it improves.
And then, sometimes, it is the phone itself. Some phones have better antenna gain than others....

I'l be watching this as i have the same problem. I'm with o2 and they have great coverage here. My mobile turns useless as soon as i enter my own home.
It's great stood on the front, back doors and even in my neighbours home but for some reason i lose all my bars once i enter my house.
