www.torrentspy.com avoid p2p programmes like limewire and morpheus which are full of viruses, addware, and nasty p.o.r.n (why cant I write that word?) and sh^t. Instead go for a bittorrent programme such as torrentspy or utorrent. If you want to download free music legally you can do so from musicdownload.com, this site doesn't need any programme installed on your computer but has a limited selection of songs.

There are many sites that allow you to download free music, but not all are legal. If you want to stay out of trouble, try http://www.audiolunchbox.com, or http://www.allofmp3.com. Allofmp3 is illegal in the US, but not in Russia, so it's still controversial and you can't get in trouble for using that yet.

But B careful some nasty stuff can get up ur down stream on them sites (speaking from experience ofc) make sure that ur fire wall and antivirus, and anti spyware gear is up to date or ur quite litrally f**ked
bear in mind as several others have already stated most free music sites arnt legal
