Which is the best bank for a 16 year old to get a current account with? I want a debit card but not a VISA Electron because it can't be used with iTunes.

hey get a debit card with HSBC they are great plus you can get discounts off driving lessons with bsm and loads of discounts well worth it.

I think you will have to build up your credit rating before they any bank will you a credit/debit card. Probably about 6 months or so of regular ingoings. Stay away from the Abbey! Nationwide and NatWest are sweet with me. You can link a debit card to Paypal though. If iTunes takes Paypal you are sorted then. Good luck.

Do you not have to be 18 before you can get a debit card? I know in Australia you have to, I have a Visa Debit Card with Suncorp here.

You can always start with a pre paid credit card....available everywhere. Western Union has one that's available..it's very handy to load money onto...just walk up to any Western Union!
