Can you please give me an example of Democrat bipartisanship? I've never seen this in my entire adult life, so I have doubts as to its existance. Nor have I seen a Dem be reasonable or cooperative. I'm sure you could show me the rare occurrence where one or two might have not been rabidly partisan, but for the most part (>95% of the time) that has not been the Democrat M.O.

The truth is that it is the Democrats who have been divisive. They have sought political power over doing what is right and good for America for at least the past 2 decades.

The only 'bipartisan' action I've seen the Dems do is curtailing our freedoms and rights and spending money. I don't consider these to be good for America or Americans.

Well, that Pelosi, pepsi whatever her name is already has decided that the Democrats will make the rest of the Bush 2 years a lame duck administration, or so she stated on national TV. So, that doesn't exactly sound like bipartisanship to me. But there are rumblings in her party that she could make it very difficult for their candidate in 2008 if all she does is block everything she doesn't agree with for two years and a back lash against the Democrats could occur during the "Big" election of 2008.

Whatever the out come of 2006 both parties will have to watch their steps and tread rather carefully to avoid alienating to many people before the 2008 Presidential run.

i do no longer think of the Obama Presidency desires to be stored. it extremely is doing super, and component of the evidence of that's the extremist backlash by way of conservatives. If Obama grew to become into no longer doing a competent activity together with his schedule, conservatives does no longer be protesting so complicated, making threats, carrying weapons to presidential activities, and calling people names. maximum of Clinton's significant successes had little to do with the Republicans. His kinfolk leave act, the powerful conflict in Bosnia, his crime expenses that further crime down, his tax cuts for the undesirable and tax will boost for the wealthy, and Americorps are basically some examples. As some distance his financial prudence, in certainty that Democrats have continually been fiscally prudent. Reagan and Bush had checklist deficits (till Obama) and decrease taxes on a similar time! Very irresponsible of them. Obama has a checklist deficit, yet my wager is he will boost taxes on the wealthy as a fashion to get it below administration. the only concern New Gingrich finished grew to become into impeaching Clinton, which helped get Bush elected, yet even that impeachment has backfired on account that has made the interior maximum lives of favourite Republicans like Ensign, Craig, Vitter, Foley, and Sanford honest interest.

If the Dems win a majority, I think they should just stay home. They'll probably come up with some hairbrained ideas like raising taxes or running away from Iraq. Neither of these things is helpful.

But if the Dems make the attempt for bi-partisanship and they are rebuffed, it looks bad on the GOP, and the Dems will exploit that

When two parties share power, they usually find ways to work together.

The Dems will have to work with the minority, and the President to get things done.
