I was listening to the radio this morning and the VJ said something that I had never considered before. Many people say they support our troops, but if you don't vote wouldn't that be a disrespect to them? I was a little confused but he put it this way. "our soldiers are shedding blood for another country to have the right to vote. What are we telling our soldiers if we say we're too busy to vote ourselves. How important is demoracy to us if we dont get out there and vote?" Anyway, the website address above is where you can see if you are registered to vote. Who you vote for is no ones business, but isn't this guy right?

The right to vote is an important one. In past elections the turn out has been so poor that special interest groups can elct their candidate and we are stuck with them for two, four or six years. If you don't vote don't complain about the direction the country is taking.

Unfortunately it doesnt work that way.I am a 57 year old white male.My wife is 46 and my mother 88 and a decorated ww2 veteran. As land owners, tax payers and regietered voters,we were all denied the right to vote in Putnam County Indiana.Putnam County Court Judge Robert Lowe issued the order.Putnam County Indiana Deputy Sheriff Danny Wallace was dispatched to the polls at VanBibber Lake Indiana to remove us from the polls.I was in the voting booth when he arrived.I was pulled out of the booth and denied my right to complete my ballot. Mom and Betty didn't make it that far. When I complaned to the county Clerk Opal Sutherlin I was informed that voting is a privledge not a right and ours had been recinded.Does that tell you how important your vote actually is?This is what the Republican Party really stands for.
