Only you have the ability to change.
So make your next change one about denying yourself the urge to run away. Choose to stick with your life and job and home.
You keep on trying to run away from your life because you're disappointed with it for some reason. Don't give in to the urge. Instead find out whatever it is that is disappointing you, and change that.

My father lived like that for his first 50 yrs and it wreaked havoc on our family ending up in divorce and a stunted career for him. I guess it doesn't matter if you move around a lot if you're single & you're not too concerned with career.
I don't think this is normal, it's usually destructive in the end, and you need to figure out why you get so bored. Try to find something you're passionate about, something you can work on or devote yourself to, so you don't have too move around so much.
Maybe talk to a counselor/therapist? I don't think you'll get too many deep personal insights this way asking it over Yahoo.
Good luck!! I hope you don't end up like my restless pops (what finally cured him was marrying a tough tyrant of a woman who told him to stop his gibberish about wanting to move/change jobs, and he's been planted in the same place for 20+ yrs now and I think he's finally happy).

I am the same with jobs but have been in the same house for 14 years, I have felt like leaving a number of times but haven't found anywhere else I like either.
Watching this space because I want to know why as well

Because you are not happy with the way things are going in your life, your house is too small and you want a better job. You have to learn to make the most out of what you have got. We all have ideas that we should be doing better than we are. It's just life

you obviously just get bored easily and need to be constantly on the move - maybe you just havent found a place stimulating enough to settle yet!
If it makes you happy keep doing it - but I would agree it is possibly deterring your social life and career options. xx

yes for you get bored but you can control; yourself and keep your job if you wanted. make a goal to keep this job for 24 months. if you change after 24 months then force yourself to stay at the next job for 30 months and keep adding 6 to 12 months on. or keep this job and keep forcing out 6 month incrediments to stay

That's a damn good question! I wish i could answer it, 'cos i'm the same! I think it must be that we've got a bit of Romany in us. As soon as i start settling anywhere, i get itchy feet again.
