Okay, the first place to go is to your adoptive parents, and tell them that you want to know about your birth family. They mnay surprise you and be helpful and cooperative. If you are under 18, they may tell you to wait til you are 18. Bide your time, and hold them to that then.

If you are over 18, there are search sites online where you can register your name and whatever you know about the circumstances of your birth and adoption. There are also people who will help you in the search.

Whatever your age is, whether you are under 18 or over 18, I suggest talking to a counselor to work out your feelings, so that should your search be successful, you are not traumatized by the results ... this is important, even for a successful search.

Don't. Just be happy you were adopted and love your family. Unless there is some medical issue, just leave the past alone. There is a reason you were given up for adoption. Let it go please.
