I hate to answer with a question but if our troops stay out there will that stop the terrorist threat? I personaly dont think so I would like to see them home because I dont see the point in them being there as the anger seems to be getting worse not better, but I am not a politician and Mr Tony Blair seems to be getting the votes so I dont know the bloody answer the more I think about it the more frustrated I get

Yes, because terrorist threat was there before the troops even went there. Look at all the terrorist attacks which happened before - attacks on US ships, US embassies abroad, WTC bombing in early 1990s, attacks on UK interests abroad. All of these happened before the troops went in.

The terrorist threat is based on ideology and not whether or not troops are there.

There would be at least two positive outcomes:
1. Soldiers will not be dying any more.
2. The terrorists will be a little short of motivation to continue to blow themselves up. Now they must see themselves as freedom fighters.
First of all you can never fight terrorists with regular army. History proves that it just doesn't work. Economic isolation will do the trick better.

Yes it would be there and it would be escalated, People need to understand being a soldier isn't easy... I'm currently in the Natl. Guard and my brother is also in and has served 2 stets in Iraq and it is hell over there he has 2 shoulder surgeries to prove it. But our troops need to be there to keep some kind-of order so these extremists won't kill each other!!! We are trying to do a favor... and yes we love our oil and yes this is partly a war to protect our interest but I want everyone to remember WWI it was because we were protecting stuff we needed!

Sincerely,
PFC David Weathers

I think it will because there will still be people who hate America. For example, the people of Iraq will be bitter because of all their family members have died or been wounded hate America because they can not offer them safety, which means that more of them have joined the terrorist cell.

I think the terrorist threat will always be there. There will always be dissidents and rebels, we just need to be vigilant and not create more anger in the world with our foreign policy.

It has been happening since the dawn of time. Someone is always hiding under our beds.

Just get on with your life and live it fully. Today will be gone before you know it.
