How many countries have compulsory voting in elections?

Here in Australia we have to exercise our democratic freedoms, or else. Is this a good thing or not?

Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, PerÃº, Thailand and others. Mexico, Costa Rica, PanamÃ¡, and others have compulsory voting, but not enforced.
