Five years ago I visited the War graves at Ypres, after seeing the ages of some of the soldiers that were burried there I decided to leave my job as a machine operator, which I had been doing for 15 years, and went to college. I am now into my third year at University. What made you change your life for the better?

I had my son and married a Marine. Life did a total 360 for me and I am so glad I changed in the ways I did. I grew up. Realized there was more to life then the small town and small minds I grew up with. I am now 22 a single mother of 2 and am living my life in a Military town and will probably never leave. I have a new found respect for the Military no matter what branch, my views on single mothers no matter how young or hold have changed and now I'm somone my children can look up to.

My husband, he was the first person to ever believe in me and gave me the confidence to use my potential to the full, went to college and got the qualifications I had dreamt about, got the job of my dreams and I couldn't have done it without him, I don't work now because of a serious accident I had a few years ago but hey, there are people worse off than me and I got to live my dreams and change my life and I will always be grateful for that.

Ones life changes constantly, a result of outside influences. You make choices throughout life and hopefully each change is for a step forward.
Our most recent change came as a result of the incredible boom in existing house prices, we make the right choices and made a move from one state to another. It has been a very good choice.

Same as you. I noticed that life can be awfully short. Now I live every day, though other people may not understand or approve, so that if I die five minutes from now, the last sound out of me is going to be a laugh!

My ex-husband passed away and I realized that his life had really not counted for much (in my opinion)...and I want mine to count for more than that. I have since written a book, learned how to oil paint, gotten involved in my community and am planning on attending college in the near future. He may not have done me many favors in life except to father one child...who is a wonderful and precious kid...but in his death, he really motivated me to start living and counting for something....so in that since, he was a valuable person for me to have known and I am grateful!

I think it's great for you.... for me nothing much changed my life, maybe my neighbour's smile this morning changed my day. That's a start:
