Ha, good question! We called my dad's mom Tiny Nanny cause she was only 4'11'' so that meant that my mom's mom became Big Nanny! I'm not so sure that she liked that cause she was not exactly a slim woman :). My dad's dad was Gamper cause my brother couldn't say Grampa when he was little.

I called my moms parents grammy and grandpa but sometimes i just called them grandma and grandpa and i never got to meet my dads parents they died when he was three but im sure they woulda been grandma and grandpa too

wel my gran from my moms side we all call ma.. we dont know why but we'v always just called her that even her own kids do it still (thats probably where we got it from)
my dads side we call my grandad by his name, it what he wanted and we still do it but my other gran we use some nickname we have no idea why we started using it, we call her gaga and we all teenagers.. even my cuz who isnt her grandaughter does it.

i called my mother's mom "nanny", i,m not sure why. my granddad died when my mom was 12. my other gramma, was just gramma, and my step granddad was granpa. my own grandkids, ages 2 months-6 years, 5 in all, all girls, all call me me-ma, i think that's just how it came out when they talked. you know, me-ma is mommy backwards.

i call my mothers mum "Ouma" and my dads mum "Ouma" too, my grandfather on my dads side died before i was born my grand father on my mums side i sometimes call "Oupa" if not then i call him "Oom" (uncle) (cause all my life i never knew him as a grandfather but more like an uncle *my gran and him are separated and i saw/see her more than wat i saw/see him*).
