I would start by sending a letter. Even though he lives down the street the thought is what will count. He might even get a kick out of it. Try putting something witty in it. Like,"wish I had a good friend around when I need one, are you available for the job". Or you could even be more daring and play secret admire with him. Leave love notes on his car or send flowers, from his secret admirer.

wel seeing as you'v known eachother so long and he lives close to you,, just try first saying hi and smiling at him when you see him again coz he might be feeling the same way but doesnt know how you feel so give him and ice breaker and ask him how he is and let him know that you were busy and didnt mean for the friendship to drift apart the way it did... that or just slowly talk to him more when ever you see him, like try and make an effort for you two to spend time to talk again.
i know how it feels coz my friend stays in sa and when i moved away i at least still tried my best to go see him whenever i could go to sa.

Write him a letter and let him know how you feel. If you're number has changed add it in the letter. Or just call him up and see what he's doing and ask him to a movie or bowling or something. I had a friend I hadn't talked to for 10 years and when we called each other it was like we never stopped talking for those 10 years.

well u could try and get a tip off from one of his close friends and then if u find out that he still feels the same way then on one of ur free days call him and ask if he wants to go hang out or sumthin and then smoothly in ur own words ask him what happened between u two i did it and it worked perfectly

well you can just go to his house but if that scares you then corner him some where like the store or school and just bring up some old times that you had together and make shure to tell him you wish you where still friends and then ask him over as a friend and see where it goes from there.

yes you can. with msn, i've been able to reconnect with friends i haven't seen for nine years. maybe you can just casually drop by to say hi and ask for his msn id.people tend to open up more online. plus childhood friends are always the best. you know that it's friendship they're after, not something else. you go girl!

jsut give him a call and start some small talk. Just take it from there. You should know from his tone if he is interested in starting the relationship again
