Hello, I have been on the pill for 2 years. I had my last pill on 14/09/06 and my last period on the 18/09. I heard it is advisable to occasinaly have a break from your pill therefore i have.
I was due on over a week a go (9 days to be exact) and i have not yet come on.
I have been having unprotective intercourse with my partner though out the last month atleast 4 times a week therefore there was a possibility of pregnancy. I also had sore breasts and abdominal cramps (NOT PERIOD PAINS) I did 2 tests last tuesday which showed a negative result therefore I jumped straight back on my pill even though I've not yet come on.
PLEASE ADVISE As I'm querying weather or not I should of gone back on the pill.

You could be pregnant!!! I went off of my pill last year May to start trying for a baby and exactly one month later I fell pregnant. I suggest you have a blood test done to determine whether you're pregnant or not! Oh, by the way, there is no need to take a break from the pill. If you don't want to be pregnant, I suggest you take your pill everyday with NO breaks at all!!!

Go to the doctor and get a blood test, that is a sure result. You might not hav eenough of the hormone in your system yet to read on a test. But dont be alarmed, if you are then you must stop taking the pill. It is still early yet so the pills you started should not have an affect on the fetus. but stop until you know for sure, and in the mean time use protection in case your not.

Everybody is different. I asked my nurse who I would see every year about my contraceptives how long it would take me to get pregnant if I stopped. She told me that when she went of the pill to have her first daughter her and her husband tried for 7 months before she got pregnant. When she went of for the second daughter she fell pregnant after one month.
There is really no way of telling. Go do a pregnancy test and next time be more cautious.

After resuming the pills, you must give a few days time during which you ought not to have unprotected sex.

even if you miss ONE day you could be pregnant...it is a proven fact. But the best answer is for you to get a blood test.

when you stop taking the pil it can take up to 6 months for your period to get back to normal thats why you can be late! i say take another test and see what it says... if its negative again, i think your okay

defintly could be pregnant, any time you have unprotected sex you stand a chance of getting pregnant
