I can't imagine that the effect would last very long. Sounds a bit daft to me.

This I think is our governments cheap response to a serious problem, the potential flu pandemic. Not to worry, because I saw a press release on the Warwick Uni website a few days ago, which explained that scientists working there had come up with an ingenious way of turning the flu virus into its own cure. This is done by some GM methodology.

I wish that would be sprayed everywhere. I am pretty careful at this time of year, and here I sit with a fresh cold or something anyway. Alot of people die from the flu each year, so if there is something that can prevent the spread of the disease that's non invasive, I'm all for it.

I just read that in the evening standard. What worries me is that will flu become resistant and then turn into a new more deadly strain of the virus.... This will lead to the tubes being viral covered hell holes with scummy people coughing and wheezing in crowded overly heated carriages breathing all over you..... Hang on thats just like now!

Assuming there are no adverse side-effects then definately.

There is risk of a pandemic and anything the government can do to reduce that risk can only be good - especially on the tube where the confined space is a breeding ground for viruses.

Sounds good to me, planes and airports as well, I had a holiday in Greece ruined, because of some selfish bas*ard on the plane going out there, it only takes one to infect the whole plane.

It's a nice idea as it would help to protect people, but like the hospitals, it would rely on people being bothered to do their jobs properly and unfortunately there are a lot of people who just don't care.
