I am 5 1/2 weeks along and went to the E.R. this weekend because of cramping. They ordered an ultrasound, and she didnt see any blood inside. I am hope that is a good thing, but do you think that it is possible to still have a miscarriage? I just had one right before I got pregnant this time around. As you can tell, I am terrified to have another one. Let me know what you think. Thank you!

Bless your heart. I have never had a miscarriage but I can empathize with your fear. However, worrying about something you have no control over will not help and in fact only adds stress to your body. Cramping is completely normal for a healthy pregnancy. I had severe cramping the first 2 months of my third pregnancy. If the Dr. could not see anything wrong then let that ease your mind. Just take things easy, pamper yourself, and avoid negative thoughts(I know that is hard). Keep in mind lots of women miscarry to go on to healthy, full-term pregnancies.

Everything is possible, but it hasn't happened yet! So relax, test for toxoplasmosis just in case, because of your previous miscarriage, don't get tired, and you'll be fine. The fact that you had a miscarriage before doesn't mean it will happen again. Stress is the main cause for a miscarriage, so don't have any axiety over it or anything else.

Sounds to me like you're fine. Did they see the sac or anything yet? I wouldn't worry about it, I know that sounds hard to do, but if they didn't see anything there at the E.R. then I would have to say it's a good thing!!! Congrats and I hope everything goes well for you!!!!

If they saw a sac...they should have been able to see a heartbeat as well. I had my first scan at 5-1/2 weeks...and could see both.
