MANNNNNNNNN!!!! I did that too and the same thing happend,on top of that it didn't act right so I got rid of it I went back to the old one... it was a mess this pop up thing keep comming out saying it was running with or without something..I cant remember what it was and I noticed it my computer got slower... get rid of it. to get rid of it just uninstalled the new explorer and then you may have to download wich ever bookmarked or favorite thing you had cause I had to do it all over again.. but I got it back...good luck.

WHO recommended you download and install IE?
WHOever they are, they are a friggin idiot!
There are sooooo many issues right now with IE7, it is not even funny.
Do a search here at Yahoo Answers for IE7 problems and you will see.

IE 7 has some bugs, including what u said, remove and install again
